3 Ways Music Can Help You Get Through The Holidays

Posted by Lauren Pufpaf on Nov 18, 2015 8:23:04 PM

The holidays come at the same time every year and yet the season still seems to sneak up on us somehow. It’s time to unwind, cook favorite recipes, and gather with family.

Which all sounds fantastic, but the reality is that the holidays can be rough. Bad weather, long lines, and uncomfortable days sitting around your aunt’s too-small living room for more hours than you’d care to. Whether you can’t wait to catch up with family, or would rather sit this one out (scrooge!) music can help get you through this holiday season.

Top 3 Ways Music Can Help You Get Through The Holidays

1) Put on a feel good playlist while you cook in the kitchen
Nothing but crowd pleasers and positive vibes here!

2) Get everyone involved! Sing-alongs, carols, and talent shows.
Not all families will get into this, but keeping people entertained and having fun will always diffuse tension. Lots of petty squabbles boil down to boredom, so keep the kids focused on something fun. Participatory music is a great way to get people to relax and enjoy each other’s company.

3) Keep your headphones on
If all else fails, throw on your headphones and go for a walk. Here are a few tunes to smirk to.
