Inside the Feed Clips collections: curated music built for creators

When we launched Feed Clips, our pitch was straightforward: UGC platforms shouldn't have to choose between great music and legal compliance. We handle the licensing, the technology, and the curation. You get a plug-and-play commercial music solution designed to help creators find the right soundtrack quickly.
Since then, our curation team has done a deep dive into music curation for short-form content and how to deliver a seamless in-app music experience. The result is an expanded Feed Clips offering of nearly 100 curated collections of major-label music clips designed for seamless in-app discovery. These are organized to help creators find the right music fast, whether they're chasing a trend, setting a mood, or celebrating a moment.
Music clip collections built around how creators actually browse
Nearly 70% of users are willing to pay for premium access to licensed music clips. What they want in return is the ability to quickly discover the perfect soundtrack for their creative vision. Creators browse by feel, by moment, and by memory.
That insight shaped how we organized the Feed Clips collections. There are four intuitive categories, designed to get creators to the right sound with minimal friction:
-
Genre (hip-hop, pop, indie, electronic, country, and more)
-
Decades (the 1960s through the 2020s)
-
Vibes & Moods (upbeat, chill, romantic, hype, and beyond)
-
Celebrations (birthdays, holidays, weddings, game days)
Product teams sometimes assume users want everything, which is not the case. More music does not equal more engagement; since music is additive versus the primary task, too many options slow decisions and increase drop-off. That's why Feed Clips is built around curated collections with low cognitive load: recognizable, context-fit music that activates engagement rather than interrupting it.
What's new: trending hits, fresh drops, and country surprises
This year, we’ve continued to expand Feed Clips music options, expanding our collections to give creators more of what they want and need. These additions correspond directly to this year’s cultural and UGC trends.
Our Trending collection includes tracks that are having a moment right now, from under-the-radar discoveries to resurfaced, viral classics. The cultural landscape moves fast, so we leverage Chartmetric data to keep this collection consistently fresh.
Our 2016 Hip-Hop collection celebrates a musical renaissance. A decade on, the year’s XXL Freshman class, the SoundCloud wave, and tracks that defined a generation are seeing record streaming numbers all over again. This nostalgia is building momentum, and creators now have access to the songs audiences are searching for.
Our New Releases collection keeps the Feed Clips experience fresh with recent major-label drops. Creators who want to use the newest releases now have a dedicated place to find songs from 2024-present.
If there's one genre that's redefined the cultural landscape recently, it's country. Zach Bryan, Morgan Wallen, and Luke Combs have broken streaming records typically held by hip-hop and pop artists, and country's crossover appeal now spans demographics that traditional country never reached. We've responded by expanding from one to four country collections.
The data behind the design
Every Feed Clips collection is shaped by our curation team's analysis of streaming data, chart performance, cultural relevance, and demographic trends. We're thinking carefully about which tracks belong where and which releases have staying power. And, we’re always on the lookout for the latest music trends.
Feed Clips is a music clips solution that delivers seamless, highly relevant music inside your product without adding friction for creators or complexity for your team. Curated collections surface the right music quickly, while we handle the licensing, streaming infrastructure, and ongoing curation behind the scenes. Product teams get a seamless music experience. Creators get recognizable songs that fit the moment.
